Need to Upload Your GSA 2020 Meeting Presentation? We’ll Show You How

Congratulations to the thousands of researchers, clinicians, and educators who have had their scholarship accepted for presentation during the GSA 2020 Annual Scientific Meeting Online! Your research will be accessible to scholars across the U.S. and around the world and subsequently published in the GSA journal Innovation in Aging.

GSA has worked with the online meeting host platform supporting the conference to provide an additional week for submitting your audio recording and uploading your presentation. The website will then be locked for final testing and preparations before it is opened to meeting registrants in advance of the official kick-off of the meeting on November 4. This advance opening will enable registrants to view sessions and select which presenter discussions to add to their schedules during the November 4 to 7 meeting.

As this online format is new, GSA is hosting a “how to” webinar every day the week of September 21 to 25 to help you become more familiar with the presentation process for posters, papers, and symposia. Sign up now at www.geron.org/webinar!

This one-hour webinar will outline the GSA 2020 Annual Scientific Meeting Online structure, describe the various presentation formats, and explain the steps presenters will take to prepare and submit materials. Webinar participants will be able to ask questions to clarify any remaining issues so you can use these tools effectively in preparing your presentations.

To accommodate presenters based in time zones around the world, this live webinar will be offered five times:

  • Monday, September 21, at 2 p.m. ET
  • Tuesday, September 22, at 8 a.m. ET
  • Wednesday, September 23, at 4 p.m. ET
  • Thursday, September 24, at 10 a.m. ET
  • Friday, September 25, at 2 p.m. ET

As the GSA community “breaks new ground” with this all-online meeting, it is reminiscent of the gerontological pioneers who formally established the Society 75 years ago to “promote the scientific study of aging.” With travel no longer an impediment to attendance, colleagues from across the U.S. and around the world will be able to easily attend. Think about how far your presentations will reach!

Please join us for one of the webinars offered next week to get your questions answered before you submit your presentations for the GSA 2020 Annual Scientific Meeting Online.
