GSA President Peter Lichtenberg has a new video message about The GSA 2022 Annual Scientific Meeting experience. Watch to learn more about what’s in store for Indianapolis, Indiana, this November 2 through 6!
He reminds us of the March 3 abstract submission deadline and highlights the 2022 meeting theme, “Embracing Our Diversity. Enriching Our Discovery. Reimagining Aging.”
There’s a lot to be excited about as the GSA family convenes in November for our first in-person GSA meeting in three years. This is the first time it will be hosted in Indianapolis so allow me to showcase some interesting reports on what one Forbes article called “America’s most underrated city”:
- Indianapolis has the largest children’s museum in the world, ranked by USA Today as the best museum in the country for kids.
- Travel + Leisure named Indianapolis as one of America’s favorite food cities, Reader’s Digest named it as one of the best American cities for live music, and USA Today readers ranked it as a top-five city for beer.
- USA Today conducted a public poll that rated Indianapolis as the best convention city in the country.
- When Conde Nast Traveler named its 21 best places to visit in 2021, only five U.S. destinations were included, with Indianapolis among them.
- Likewise, Indy was among the destinations in Time’s 2021 “World’s Greatest Places”
- D Power has named Indianapolis as having North America’s best medium-sized airport.
- And, of course, the city is home to the Indianapolis 500, the world’s largest single-day annual sporting event at the world’s largest sporting venue.
Join us for what will feel like a GSA reunion and submit your scholarship by the March 3 abstract submission deadline.
