Leadership
The Gerontological Society of America's Board of Directors is the organization's chief governing body focusing on strategic planning and long-term growth for the Society. The Board is structured to include a full representation of GSA’s disciplinary groups. They are guided by a strategic plan that is developed to advance research, education, and practice in the field of aging and the GSA Bylaws, the organization's chief operating document.
GSA’s advancement of scientific, educational, and professional activities is conducted by the Society’s six member groups and their leadership. Several committees, advisory panels, workgroups, and taskforces work to complete responsibilities in various aspects of society activity.
